The Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) is a regional intergovernmental organization established in 1992 to promote the implementation of international standards to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Comprising member states from the Caribbean Basin, the CFATF works closely with the global Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to ensure that its members adopt and enforce effective regulatory and supervisory measures. The organization conducts mutual evaluations, provides technical assistance and training, and facilitates cooperation among member countries to strengthen financial systems against illicit activities, thereby supporting regional stability, transparency, and economic integrity.
