Nassau, The Bahamas – April 9, 2026 — The Insurance Commission of The Bahamas (ICB) hosted the Occupy Mentorship Program as part of its Leadership Day initiatives, engaging 50 students in a meaningful mentorship and leadership development experience.

The event featured an inspiring presentation by Superintendent of Insurance, Mrs. Dana L. Munnings-Gray, titled “The Difference Is Me,” which encouraged participants to embrace personal responsibility, purpose-driven leadership, and the power of intentional impact. The session focused on empowering young people to recognize their ability to create positive change in their school and communities.

Deputy Superintendent of Insurance, Mr. Rodney D. Bain Jr., also supported the programme, reinforcing the Commission’s commitment to youth engagement and education. Together, the leadership team emphasized the importance of equipping Bahamian youth with a solid understanding of leadership fundamentals as part of their personal and professional development.

The Insurance Commission extends heartfelt gratitude to the programme organizers, Mr. Ricardo Clarke and Dr. Tanya McCartney, for facilitating this impactful opportunity and for their dedication to the growth and development of the nation’s future leaders.

The Insurance Commission of The Bahamas remains committed to inspiring, educating, and nurturing the next generation and looks forward to ongoing collaboration with partners who share a passion for youth empowerment.
