NASSAU, BAHAMAS, August 21, 2026 – The Insurance Commission of The Bahamas brought smiles, excitement, and support to over 60 children during its Back-to-School Bash, held on Friday, August 21, 2026, for youngsters from the Diabetes Association of The Bahamas and All Saints Camp, two organizations supported through the Commission’s community outreach initiatives.
The event welcomed children ranging from primary school to high school age and provided them with back-to-school supplies to help prepare them for a successful academic year. In addition to receiving school essentials, the children enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities, highlighted by a visit to the newly opened Inflatable Kingdom, where they spent creating lasting memories before returning to the classroom.
Superintendent of Insurance, Dana L. Munnings-Gray shared that the event was particularly meaningful given her longstanding relationships with both organizations. “This event holds a special place in my heart. As someone living with diabetes, I have developed a close relationship with the Diabetes Association over the years and understand the importance of the support they provide to families and young people. I also have a longstanding connection with All Saints Camp, having participated in school supply drives through the organization in my personal capacity for many years. When the opportunity arose to expand these efforts through the Insurance Commission, it was an easy decision. We are delighted to continue supporting these wonderful organizations and helping to ensure that every child starts the school year feeling prepared, confident, and excited about their future.”
Munnings-Gray added that the Commission remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities to support children and families throughout The Bahamas, recognizing that investments in education and youth development help build stronger communities.
